For many travelers, Antarctica is a bucket-list destination, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to touch all seven continents. In 2023, a record-breaking 100,000 tourists made the trip. But the journey begs a fundamental question: What do we risk by traveling to a place that is supposed to be uninhabited by humans? And as the climate warms, should we really be going to Antarctica in the first place? Scott grew up in a musical family. His dad played stand up bass in a big band, and could also play a little piano by ear. His mother is a skilled pianist and organist. Put those genes together and you've got a recipe for a unique blend of traditional musical sensibilities, mixed with intuitive gifts for hearing and comprehending all facets of the musical picture. Scott fought traditional piano lessons, because he didn't like to read music. When his teacher would play a piece before he learned it, he always had an easier time getting motivated to work on it, especially if it was pleasing to his ears. After quitting traditional lessons, Scott spent a few years pursuing the normal pre-teen stuff, baseball, basketball, video games, etc. It's important to mention that as a kid he was definitely also a radio junkie. Scott had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented artists in his career. In the past he worked with Bob Carlisle, Allies, Susan Ashton, Mark Schultz, and Steven Curtis Chapman. More recently, he was the Musical Director and keyboardist for Kenny Loggins, and still occasionally plays concerts with him. Scott played several shows with Richard Marx, and currently is touring with Carrie Underwood. Scott also works as a musical engraver. My most notable clients are Kelly Clarkson and David Foster. The Galway, Ireland, and Nashville-based quartet––comprised of two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill and Martin & David Howley––continually push musical boundaries while maintaining an unwavering devotion to the essential audience experience. WB3 seamlessly converge the shared and varied traditions of Americana, Bluegrass, and Celtic music with pop-sensible songcraft to create a truly unique and gratifying signature sound. Brilliantly commanded instruments––banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and percussion––effortlessly elevate lead singer David Howley’s propulsive voice. Live on stage, their songs carry the listener along until, at the perfect moment, the band crescendos into catchy choruses with pitch perfect harmonies. We Banjo 3 deliver their music with such palpable rapport, stunning precision, and infectious energy, it’s impossible to pigeonhole what kind of listener might suddenly consider themselves a WB3 fan…

From their beginnings in mid-Sixties Ohio as a group of friends playing cover tunes to the present-day unit featuring founding member/pedal-steel innovator John David Call, veteran bassist Mike Reilly, propulsive drummer Scott Thompson and guitar ace Donnie Clark, PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE continues to embellish the rich 43-year history of one of Country-Rock’s pioneering forces. As one reviewer recently wrote: “PPL’s sound combines sweet memories with edgy, contemporary muscle. Their vocals are as strong as Kentucky moonshine and the musicianship and performance skills are as sharp as a straight razor”. Their eponymous first album – featuring the Norman Rockwell/Saturday Evening Post cover that introduced fans to PPL’s trademark cowpoke “Sad Luke” – has been hailed as a “major early influence in the emerging popularity of Country-Rock music”. Their second effort, the multi- platinum “Bustin’ Out” brought us the Craig Fuller-penned classic “Amie”, along with other gems of the genre. With “Two Lane Highway”, nine more albums and countless shows, a legacy has been forged and enriched during the ‘70s and 80’s, highlighting contributions from several noteworthy members, including original co-founder George Ed Powell, Cincinnati’s legendary Goshorn Brothers, Country Hall of Famers Gary Burr and Vince Gill, award-winning writer Jeff Wilson (3 Top-20 singles) and a host of other guest appearances from Chet Atkins, Johnny Gimble, Emmy Lou Harris, David Sanborn, Eagle Don Felder, Nicolette Larson, and many more. Now in their fifth decade, Pure Prairie League continues to lead the way for the new generation of Country/Rockers such as Keith Urban, Nickel Creek, Wilco, Counting Crows and so many others that cite PPL as a major influence. As crisp and clean as spring water and as comfortable as a well-worn cowboy shirt, Pure Prairie League still brings it all back home.…

For 25 years Greg has been behind a mic or in front of a camera from Alberta to Saskatchewan, Ontario to BC. In the mid 90’s, when record company money was flowing like beer from a frat party keg and sponsorship dollars for Country music were at an all-time high, he co-created, co-wrote and hosted the nationally syndicated radio show Craven A Today’s Country. The show featured the biggest acts of the day including; Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Alabama, the Dixie Chicks and many Grammy nominated songwriters. In addition to scoring several New York Festival International Awards for the show, his wife Teresa and Greg started a family in a humble downtown Toronto condo. The next stop was CMT, where a renegade team of TV virgins produced and hosted the CMT Request Line, a daily national video request show. He also owns ClassicTributeBands.com, a collective of legacy tribute shows including 12 Against Nature (Steely Dan), Make Me Smile (Chicago), and Live From Ventura Boulevard (West Coast music '75-'85). youtube.com/sasheriff is the link for his main page. youtube.com/lfvboulevard is the link for the Live From Ventura Boulevard page youtube.com/12againstnature is the steely dan tribute youtube.com/makemesmileband1 Chicago tribute.…

Lighting Director/Programmer for Ringo Starr Susan is no stranger to the music business. When she made her debut appearance on stage at the age of 14, little did she know she was not only opening up her career path of being a country music singer but it would also eventually lead her to a successful career as a lighting designer and programmer. Being true to the Gemini description, this 5' 2" red-headed, blue-eyed songstress had another side to her that continued to grow over the years. Susan’s love of entertainment combined with her natural technical curiosity led her to learn more about the “other side” of show production. She graduated from Full Sail University, where she learned the technical side of the business. This education opened doors to an alternate career path that has led her to be a successful lighting designer/director/programmer, touring with various major artists such as Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band (2003 to present), Louise Mandrell, John Berry, Hank Willliams Jr. and many others, as well as working on numerous television shows (Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, Trumpet Awards, Freddy Awards, Black Music Honors, Kansas DVD and numerous TV specials), theme parks (Disney, Dollywood, Sea World and Nickelodeon), cruise ships, theaters and concerts. Her self-penned “Whole Hog Quick Reference Guide” has become an industry standard globally in teaching console programming. Her musical background allows her to naturally “feel” the music, therefore making people “see” the music. She always says it is like performing, just from the other side. Though she has a passion for lighting, the music is still in her blood and will never die out. Her dream is to take her experiences from the past 24 years and express them to you in her music.…

It was one of the most vibrant and exciting time periods in Country Music history – the mid-1980s. A new and exciting crop of talents were springing up all over the place. Brown’s initial entry to Country Radio was the sad and soulful “Drowning In Memories.” That Top-40 single helped him to establish himself, and by the winter of 1986, he had warmed up to audiences with the bluesy hit “I Tell It Like It Used To Be.” Other hits quickly followed, with his first self-penned release “Hell And High Water,” which became his first number one song. “I Wish That I Could Hurt That Way Again” and “Don’t Go To Strangers” were the next releases, which all became chart-toppers. His audiences continued to make him a radio favorite as he continued to amass more hits like “Darlene,” the smash duet “Don’t Go Out” with Tanya Tucker, and the regret-filled “If You Could Only See Me Now.” At the same time his singles were climbing the charts, T.’s powerful voice could also be heard on radio and television. His sense of style provided the platform for a successful series of cameos in commercials for international brands such as Coca-Cola, Harrah’s Casino, Burger King, and Taco Bell. It’s his work with the popular Mexican eatery that he is perhaps best known, with a series of commercials under the mantra “Run For The Border,” a campaign that lasted four years. Brown says it was an exciting time – and one where he ate more than his share of Meximelts and Nachos Bell Grande dishes!…

https://www.jasonblaine.ca At the root of it all, Jason Blaine was born to sing, write and entertain. His love for country music has taken him to the forefront of the Canadian music scene where he has remained for over a decade. With over 12 Top 10 singles in Canada including hits such as “Country Side” and “Friends of Mine”, he has also become a craftsmen of hits for other people including Chris Jansen, Parmalee, Petric and Madeline Merlo and others. Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, Blaine moved to Nashville in the fall of 2006 with his wife Amy and their three-month-old baby girl. He burst onto the scene in a big way in 2007 with his first #1 hit single “Rock In My Boot” which led to multiple CCMA nominations and paved the way for a string of hit singles and major festival appearances across the country. Perhaps the biggest game changer came in 2012 when he released the biographical “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore”, which was written for his grandfather. The song was one of his biggest hits connecting with fans of all generations and eventually went on to win CCMA Single of the Year that same year. In between releasing hit songs and co-headling tours with Tebey, Chad Brownlee and Deric Ruttan, Blaine also found time to start up his annual Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Golf Classic. Over the past five years, fellow artists and hockey legends ranging from Dallas Smith, Tim Hicks, and Gord Bamford, to Doug Gilmour and Bryan Murray have all contributed to helping raise over $500,000 for various hometown charities in Pembroke. Now, a multiple CCMA, SOCAN & CMAO award winner with over 20+ radio hits, six full length albums, over 8 million digital streams, and Jason still feels like he’s just getting started. Writing full time within Nashville’s publishing community, Jason resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his wife Amy and their four children. This past summer the next chapter began as he began work on his brand new album, which was produced by Danick Dupelle (Emerson Drive, Tebey). The project breathes new life while lending itself to what Jason does best; great country music performed by one of Canada’s most distinctive voices, telling stories of home, love, and nights on the town. As a craftsmen of songs, Jason found and wrote songs for the project which embody his artistry and move him into the next season of his career.…
