Building awareness around witnessing to become a curious observer of your own life is a means of overcoming unhealthy attachment. The witness area within you is simple awareness, the part of you that is aware of everything. This part of you is merely seeing everything without passing judgment and is simply here in this moment.
Witnessing is a skill and an attitude. The goal is to be present without being overwhelmed by the powerful sensations that are arising in your body. In this way, you can see the moment rather than react to it. It brings you out of your emotions and thoughts and lets you respond from a place that is more spacious and calm — a place of choice rather than reaction.
In this episode, we will deep dive into another level of self-awareness by cultivating the witness consciousness.
