This week's edition of Ghana in Focus ends our heritage month series looking at aspects of Ghanaian life.
This week we analyse why the LGBTQ agenda is anti Ghanaian family values.
This is in light of the anti LGBTQ bill unanimously passed in the Ghanaian parliament that is now awaiting the President of the Republic of Ghana to ascend the bill into law.
We explain the essence of traditional Ghanaian family values, its importance and significance in the Afrikan spiritual realm.
We explain how in recent years Ghanaian family values has been undermined by the subtle promotion of the LGBTQ+ agenda in Ghana by western backed agencies.
We advise how and why the LGBTQ+ agenda is a threat to not only traditional Ghanaian family values but to the very existence of the country itself.
We also strongly condemn threats made by the West in particular the United States to withhold 'aid and development' money to Ghana should the President sign the bill into law.
We advise that the United States has no right to lecture Ghanaians on human rights when the United States violates daily, the human rights of African Americans as in the George Floyd murder.
Secondly we Africans do not thrust on western societies the idea of polygamy as it is prohibited in the West so in turn the West MUST respect our desire as Ghanaians to uphold our traditional family values.
We assert that those who support the LGBTQ+ agenda are anti Ghanaian family values.
We end by stating that Ghana is a sovereign state that has the right to do what is in its own interest without interference from others and urge the president to undertake his constitutional right and sign the bill into law.
