The FTC Sizzlin' Summer Tour rolls along and with Greggo this week are two new members of the 2Cents Cultureverse- Eboni Christmas of the Walkin 90 Podcast, and the King of Cali, Cali Urrutia of the Dreaming of Freedom Pod, presented by Black Herons of Inter Miami.
After a quiet summer, we return knee deep in tournaments, the first of which saw the US Under 20 Men qualify for not only the next U20 World Cup but the US's first men's Olympic tournament since 2008, setting up the men to a good start to the 2026 World Cup cycle. We keep things in North America where in the Concacaf W, the US Women have once again qualified for the World Cup, but also saw a promising Mexico Women's team fail to qualify, continuing a nasty streak of failures and of as our recording, resulted in the Mexican Federation firing their sporting director.
In the 2nd half we comment on the start of MLS Rivalry Week, including the storied rivalry of Atlanta and Austin, the continued transfers, and Leeds United stacking up on Americans, commentary on the struggle of welcoming Black soccer supporters AND MORE in 2UP/2Down!!
