She is a co-founder of the non-profit Working Food based in Gainesville, Florida which focuses on regional seed biodiversity, and lends itself to research, stewardship, distribution, and outreach. Working Food works closely with the community, collaborating and supporting adults with disabilities, youth, farmers, and the general public.
