We're diving into two opposite extremes that often repel people from committing to internal work for external benefit: "Love and Light" and "Trauma Lovers." Typically, what turns someone off from doing internal work is their perception of these extremes within this space.

Starting with "Love and Light," many, especially traditionally successful people, resist internal work because they lump it together with this idea that you must reach a level of complete peace, love everyone, and remain unaffected by negativity. When you put it simply, it’s absolute bullshit, and people know that. Acting like nothing in life affects you negatively is impossible and unhealthy. It burns you out.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have "Trauma Lovers," people addicted to their trauma, often without realizing it. Logical or intellectual people might fall into this trap, constantly regurgitating and digging up past traumas. While processing trauma is necessary, some of it needs to be released and let go. Continually going back to it keeps you stuck.

People on both extremes tend to look at the other side and reject it, thinking, "I don’t want to be like that." This leads to overlooking the productive middle ground, where real solutions lie. Many reject internal work because society often shows only these extremes or specialized processes based on specific traumas.

It’s unrealistic to teach that once you reach a certain level of enlightenment, you’re done with the work. Similarly, constantly talking about your struggles isn’t helpful either. There’s a middle space where you can work through and move past roadblocks without an extreme approach.

When things happen out of our control, like career changes or personal losses, being able to respond and adapt is crucial. Doing internal work provides you with permanent guardrails, enabling you to navigate life no matter what happens. Without a solid internal foundation, you’ll always face discord.

Internal work is where you get external benefits. Start small, take what resonates, and build on it. Evaluate things from an internal perspective, and focus on securing the core components necessary for self-actualization. This holistic approach ensures that all gears are in place, creating a foundation for lifelong growth and stability.
