Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Today’s exciting episode of Electronically Yours features two of Martyn’s oldest friends, Claudia Brücken and Susanne Freytag from XPropaganda. As Propaganda in the 80’s, they created a series of seminal recordings with Trevor Horn and ZTT, and their current work with Steve Lipson Claudia also formed the electronic band Act with Thomas Leer, and later One Two with Paul Humphries.
Their current album ‘The Heart Is Strange’ (produced by Steve Lipson) confirms their status as true innovators in the field of intelligent and intellectually stimulating pop.
