“Eternal God of Israel, You are unparalleled among the gods of heaven and earth. You honor Your covenants with Your servants and give LIMITLESS LOYAL LOVE to those who faithfully follow You. - 2 Chronicles 6:14 (VOICE)
For in the Messiah, Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any power. What matters is FAITH, WORKING through LOVE. - Galatians 5:6 (NTFE)
…Only FAITH ACTIVATED and ENERGIZED and EXPRESSED and WORKING through LOVE. - Galatians 5:6b (AMPC)
πίστις δι᾽ ἀγάπης ἐνεργουμένη - pistis di agapes energoumene
4 “They are devoid of power that builds up and strengthens the church in the FAITH of God. 5 For we reach the goal of fulfilling all the commandments when we LOVE others deeply with a pure heart, a clean conscience, and sincere FAITH.” - 1 Timothy 1:4-5 (TPT)
HOW TO MAKE YOUR FAITH MORE EFFECTIVE:
1. FAITH REQUIRES ACTION BY DOING WHAT GOD COMMANDS
17 The same is true with faith. Without ACTIONS, FAITH is useless. By itself, it’s as good as dead. 18 I know what you’re thinking: “OK, you have FAITH. And I have ACTIONS. Now let’s see your FAITH without WORKS, and I’ll show you a FAITH that works.” - James (“Jacob”) 2:17-18 (VOICE)
1 Now faith is being sure we will get what we hope for. It is being sure of what we cannot see. 2 God was pleased with the men who had faith who lived long ago. 3 Through faith we understand that the world was made by the Word of God. Things we see were made from what could not be seen. - Hebrews 11:1-3 (NLV)
Now the purpose of the COMMANDMENT is LOVE from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere FAITH. - 1 Timothy 1:5 (NKJV)
“If you LOVE Me, you will keep My COMMANDMENTS.” - John 14:15 (TLV)
9 Just as the Father has LOVED me, so I have LOVED you. So abide in my LOVE. 10 If you keep my COMMANDMENTS, you’ll abide in my LOVE, just as I have kept my Father’s COMMANDMENTS and abide in his love. - John 15:9-10 (ISV)
2. FAITH IS ACTIVATED AND EXPRESSED BY HOPE AND LOVE
And so FAITH, HOPE, LOVE abide [FAITH—conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; HOPE—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; LOVE—true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s LOVE for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE. - 1 Corinthians 13:13 (AMPC)
…neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only FAITH ACTIVATED and EXPRESSED and working through LOVE. - Galatians 5:6b (AMP)
For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything—but only a NEW CREATION. - Galatians 6:15 (TLV)
Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing—but KEEPING GOD’S COMMANDMENTS matters. - 1 Corinthians 7:19 (TLV)
3. FAITH IS WHAT THE MESSIAH IS RETURNING FOR
“…But when the Son of Man comes, will He find FAITH on the earth?” - Luke 18:8 (TLV)
So FAITH comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Messiah. - Romans 10:17 (TLV)
5 KEEP EXAMINING YOURSELVES to see whether you are continuing in the FAITH. TEST YOURSELVES! You know, don’t you, that Jesus the Messiah lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test? 6 I hope you will realize that we haven’t failed our test. - 2 Corinthians 13:5 (ISV)
