She is forced into an arranged marriage with Xiao Qi the powerful general of China's largest army regime and discovered with great power comes greater threats.

Her strength and resilience were displayed through multiple kidnappings, military coupe, familiar betrayals, and deaths.

Despite less than promising beginnings, they form a tight bond as they attempt to navigate a series of bitter power struggles and plots that threaten to bring the Imperial court and realm to its knees.
