General Hospital sees tragedy as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) succumbed to complications during a liver donor surgery. Despite the best efforts of Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and the medical team, Sam's life was unable to be saved. Five significant fallouts are expected to ripple through the lives of characters like Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) on the ABC soap opera.

GH sees the Davis sisters were absent during their sister's final moments, potentially fracturing their relationship further. Sam's children, Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) and Scout Cain Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante), also stand to face a challenging time given the strained relationship between their fathers, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
