Much is made about the creative decisions in ads for the Big Game, but how does all that money, those requisite celebrity cameos, and everything else that goes into these multi-million dollar investments translate into Return on investment? Today we’re going to talk about what the numbers tell us from all those high-profile ads and who the winners and losers of the Advertising Bowl are in 2025. To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Nataly Kelly, CMO at Zappi, who unveiled their annual Super Bowl Ad Success report on Monday. We’re here to talk about the approach, the results, and what those results mean for brands that invested a lot of money - and time - into their campaigns. About Nataly Kelly I help companies unlock global growth For more than two decades, I have helped scale businesses across borders, as an executive at B2B SaaS and MarTech companies. In this deeply personal episode, I confront the relentless worries that come with living with General Anxiety Disorder—especially in a world that often feels increasingly uncertain. Despite the advice that "worrying does no good," my mind continues to forecast worst-case scenarios, especially as recent events magnify concerns for my family, career, and community. I explore the fears that keep me up at night and the impact on my roles as a husband, father, friend, and coach. This episode isn't about finding easy answers; it's about connecting with others who may feel the same way, seeking strength through vulnerability, and discovering resilience in community. Join me as we unpack these anxieties together and look for purpose, even when the path forward feels daunting.…
In this episode, “Not All Men...Yet,” we dive deep into a powerful movement to reclaim the phrase Not All Men with a renewed purpose of accountability, healing, and change. We explore She Is Not Your Rehab's Not All Men campaign, which challenges men to take ownership of their role in ending cycles of harm and creating a safer world for everyone. Highlighting comedian Daniel Sloss's personal account, we discuss why “just being good on the inside” isn’t enough and why silence, inaction, or looking the other way makes us complicit. This episode isn’t about blame—it’s an invitation for all men to step up, speak out, and get involved in being part of the solution. Join us as we discuss how this connects to TeamsOfMen and the role of coaches, mentors, and athletes in setting a new standard for healthy, accountable manhood. Let’s move from Not All Men to All Men in the work of creating safe and respectful communities.…

In this episode of CTS, we explore three powerful themes: unexpected life shifts, the accountability of men in today's society, and how achievement in sports does not give anyone a free pass from morality. Kip kicks things off by reflecting on a tweet about the Dallas Cowboys that sparked a deep dive into how we measure character in athletes and why achievement shouldn’t excuse immoral behavior. We then turn to the work of Michael Flood and Lula Dembele, who challenge the idea that men are inherently violent and unemotional, supporting Kip’s belief that harmful behaviors are learned and can be unlearned through better social conditioning. Finally, Kip introduces the term "lifequake," a major upheaval that forces personal growth and transformation. Drawing from his own experiences with family and career challenges, Kip reflects on how these moments of crisis shaped the person he is today. Tune in to hear about the lessons these lifequakes have taught, the importance of holding men accountable, and how transformation often begins with discomfort.…
In this episode, we explore the evolving landscape of coaching, relationships, and personal growth. We dive into the contrasting philosophies of "hard coaching" versus creating trust and safety for players, using two impactful quotes as our guideposts. I challenge the notion that effective coaching requires emotional detachment or harshness, arguing that true success comes from building relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and authenticity. We also introduce a practical segment on "5 things to ask instead of 'how was school,'" offering fresh conversation starters for parents, coaches, and partners to deepen their connections with those they care about. Whether you're looking to redefine how you coach, lead, or check in with your family, this episode will inspire new approaches to fostering growth and accountability—without sacrificing humanity. Tune in for insights on redefining toughness and making your presence count in the lives of your players, family, and teams.…

In this episode of the Cross the Streams Podcast, we challenge the old-school mindset of "As a man, I have to..." and explore the power of shifting to "As a human" or even "As ME." Inspired by a recent quote from Coach Ivan C Thomas about "beating feelings into submission," we dive deep into how this language traps men in the restrictive "manbox" and prevents them from experiencing the full spectrum of human emotion. Join me as we unpack: The impact of words like "As a man" on identity and behavior. Why processing emotions beats suppressing them every time. A step-by-step evolution from restrictive gender norms to authentic self-expression. Real-life strategies for coaches, athletes, and everyone to break free from outdated scripts and live more fully. Whether you're a coach, an athlete, or someone striving to grow beyond societal expectations, this episode will inspire you to rethink the narratives that shape your life. Let’s learn how to embrace every part of ourselves—without apology. 👉 Don’t just listen—join the conversation! In this episode of the Cross The Streams Podcast, we tackle the controversy surrounding LSU's Kyren Lacy and his unsportsmanlike celebration that led to a 15-yard penalty. But we go beyond the penalty flags and fan outrage to dig deeper into what this incident reveals about sports culture, coaching, and how we guide young men toward healthier visions of manhood. We discuss: The importance of celebrating joyfully and respectfully on the field. Why reactive coaching misses the mark and how proactive discussions can shape better choices. The "After the Final Whistle" session, challenging athletes to think beyond the game and redefine the "script" for triumph. Addressing the racial backlash and harmful stereotypes faced by young athletes. How emotions—whether in success or failure—serve as informers, and how the PAUSE technique can help athletes handle them constructively. Join us as we advocate for a coaching framework that empowers young men to understand their actions and make thoughtful, impactful decisions. No young man is a throwaway. Let's build a culture of respect, understanding, and positive growth in sports! Tune in, share your thoughts, and let's continue the conversation. #CrossTheStreamsPodcast #TeamsOfMen #CoachingMatters #CelebrateWithRespect #RedefineManhood…

In this episode of Cross The Streams, Kip Ioane delves into three critical topics that every coach, parent, and athlete should consider. First, we explore the often invisible mental load that disproportionately falls on women in relationships and caregiving. Kip shares a personal story from his own life and draws from insights by authors Kate Washington and Kate Mangino, challenging men to step up and share the cognitive labor in their partnerships. Next, we shift focus to the ethics and responsibilities within sports culture. Kip discusses the importance of not just focusing on the game but also addressing the real-world issues that impact our athletes. He introduces Game Plan For Civic Engagement: Coaching Through the Election, a resource designed to help coaches guide their teams through the complexities of voting and civic duty. Finally, Kip leaves listeners with a powerful exit ticket—a conversation starter on reframing power dynamics and misogyny. Inspired by a thought-provoking social media post, this segment encourages you to rethink how we talk about these issues and to use this new perspective to challenge the status quo. Whether you're a coach, a parent, or just someone interested in making a positive impact, this episode is packed with insights and practical takeaways to help you lead with intention and purpose.…
