On this episode we talk to the artist Lowri Evans (www.thelowri.com) about her life as an artist here in the UK and in São Paulo.
Lowri Evans is an artist based in Manchester, UK and São Paulo, Brazil. She makes intimate art projects in unusual places with complete strangers. Art is her way of saying ‘sometimes I feel like this, do you?’
She studied art at Manchester Metropolitan University and has worked with: MITsp, The Lowry, Battersea Arts Centre, coletiva Ocupação, Transform Festival, Contact Theatre, Est.1761, WOW Festival, Martha Kiss Perrone, Islington Mill, 32ª Bienal de São Paulo, Capital 35, Heart of Glass, Casa do Povo, Sonia Hughes, Latitude Festival, Tate Liverpool, Ovalhouse, Quarantine, National Theatre of Scotland and University of Salford.
She made her first solo show in 2013 for the night of her thirtieth birthday and in 2015 won a Manchester Theatre Award for The Shrine of Everyday Things with Renato Bolelli Rebouças, Rodolfo Amorim and Contact Young Company.
