E22: Interview with Megan Hazeldean
Megan is the founder of Dying Right Australia which is a foundation that supports end of life transition. In this episode Megan talks about how assisting her friend through her end of life journey birthed the idea of Dying Right Australia.
Megan has a unique way about bringing joy into the conversation around dying and talks about giving space for grief, revelling in it, but also celebrating the life. She touched on how friendships can push us to do things we normally wouldn’t do and how passionate she is about what she is bringing to the table in this space.
We also discussed how leaders don’t have to be supervisors and managers, but they take up space in all kinds of unassuming roles. The fact that you are drawing people to you shows that you are taking on the role of leader, even when you don’t realise it. And when we understand this we no longer underestimate how helpful our knowledge is to others.
This episode is dedicated in loving memory to Andrea Robinson (22/08/1972 – 05/03/2021)
