This letter highlights the growing support for medical marijuana and emphasizes the need to remove it from Schedule I classification. This classification is reserved for drugs with no accepted medical use and carries severe penalties for possession and distribution. By removing marijuana from this category, it would open up opportunities for further research and potentially lead to nationwide legalization.
