Wonderful conversation with Claudia Mott (CFP®, CDFA) about Financial Planning, Investment Management, and Divorce Financial Analysis. After spending 13 years as an analyst on Wall Street following the small-cap segment of the stock market, she made a career-change that would enable her to use her knowledge of investing to educate women about their finances by building their confidence. She became a Certified Financial Planner and also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and started her firm in 2010. She guides folks through the divorce process so that they gain an understanding of their financial issues and make better decisions for themselves and their families, or help them with traditional financial planning so that they are making the most of their hard earned money.
- Claudia Mott, Principal at Epona Financial Solutions, CFP®, CDFA, www.eponafs.com
A fun note from Claudia regarding her hobbies and interests:
I am a horse lover and have been since the age of 12. My firm name comes from the Celtic goddess Epona who was known as a symbol of rebirth and abundance and was a protector of horses, mules and donkeys. I enjoy gardening and have gone through Rutger’s Master Gardner’s program which provided me a great education on choosing and caring for plants and landscape design. I also enjoy reading mystery novels and in my role as a financial planner, I find that it gives me a chance to be a bit of a detective as I help unearth all of the clues and bits of information regarding someone’s financial life.
