Episode 59: Patrick Donohue and Ronnie Oldenburg, Project 9 Line and VETS MMA
Manage episode 305875880 series 2793002
This week we welcome Patrick Donohue and Ronnie Oldenburg from Project 9 Line and VETS MMA. Patrick and Ronnie have a great opportunity for Long Island veterans, free Jiu Jitsu classes for the entire month of November. They have partnered with local academies and gyms to provide free classes for first timers and experienced grapplers. This coupled with their free yoga classes is sure to make the month of November an amazing time for veterans to get off the couch and get on the mat. Pat and Ronnie talk about how Jiu Jitsu has transformed their lives, setting them on a path to healthier and more fulfilled post military experiences. They talk about the benefits of the "gentle art", and how it can help with both physical and mental injuries. We also discuss Jiu Jitsu as a self defense discipline, and how it is never too late to get started. So dust off that old VHS of UFC 1, and enjoy this week's episode.
