PuzzleProjectsGroup is home to a number of mini brands dedicated to creative industries and creative arts. These include a 360-degree artist agency, the hugely successful online artist feature series & record label PuzzleProjectsMusic, plus the rapidly growing Nomadic party concept Puzzled. Underpinning all his work is Ben’s love and support for the underground music scene & the artists within it. A Londoner now based in Norway, Ben has managed & performed at music events in 35 countries since 2012 including Coachella in California. As well as playing countless traditional parties in bars, clubs and beaches, he has DJ’d less conventional venues including abandoned rooftops, multi-storey car parks and boats. 2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as solo act bookings and Puzzled shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia. While 2020’s schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, plans are in place for a 2021 American tour including eight Puzzled shows in eight states alongside PuzzleProjectsMusic artists. Plus solo gigs either side in Mexico and Canada with repeat Europe & Asia tours to follow later in 2021. Musically, Ben grew up on a diet of Motown, Soul and Disco from his Mum and classical music via his Dad, while in his teenage years he discovered the raw power of Hip Hop and Drum’n’Bass. His 20s were then a riot of Disco, House and Techno. That musical upbringing informs his DJ sets. Ben doesn’t stick to one genre, preferring to play lengthy sets, starting with slow, soulful Boogie & beatdown classics and edits, moving into infectious Disco, Nu-disco and House territory before upping the tempo with various shades of deep, high-energy instrumental-led House and driving, hypnotic Techno. But like all good artists, Ben can adapt to every crowd, show and venue. He meticulously hunts for lost classics and lesser-known productions. And adds depth and layers to his sets via acapellas, samples, film clips & other found sounds alongside a unique sample library recorded by bands, artists and musicians. The musical journey is set to expand even further in the next year, with Ben releasing music under his own name and his pseudonym ‘Professor Puzzle’ plus an ongoing collaboration with one of Berlin’s top producers.
