In this episode, we had the opportunity to have a conversation with The Dinosaur’s Skin (恐龍的皮) .
The Dinosaur’s Skin is a mysterious band formed by two dinosaurs “Trex” and “Triceratops”, who hail from the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago. Surviving the mass extinction and travelling through a wormhole to modern-day Taipei, they now make songs to mourn their lost friends. Primarily performing in English, The Dinosaur’s Skin has caught attention for their unique live performances that captivate the audiences. Their first EP Millions of Years Apart was nominated for Best Vocal Group at the 32nd Golden Melody Awards. The band also represented Taiwan in several showcases in the United States, including Taiwanese Waves at New York’s Central Park in 2023 and SXSW Austin this year.
AXEAN Festival is the first intraregional music showcase festival in Southeast Asia, and will feature some of the best indie acts from countries including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and South Korea. AXEAN Festival aims to elevate Southeast Asian music onto the world stage and bring the rich culture from the region across borders.
