In this episode: At the last Cookeville City Council Meeting on December 21, City Manager James Mills brought forth an ordinance that prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol at public parks, on municipal grounds, streets and sidewalks. Events impacted include WCTE’s fundraiser Blues and Brews, Taste of The Town, Upper Cumberland Pride Festival and Wine on the West Side, to name a few. You spoke before the council urging them to reconsider this vote. What kind of impact do you believe measures like these will have for Cookeville and the growth of the Upper Cumberland? Cookeville is changing. Cookeville is evolving. We can either choose to embrace the change or suffer the consequences of being left behind. What’s your message to the members of our community that continue to resist change?
