The people to whom Ezekiel preached were complacent, and did not think about God's justice and judgement. In Ezekiel 7 God confronts them with the reality of his judgement in the coming fall of Jerusalem. And in that judgement we have a foretaste of the judgement of the Last Day. We see God's justice, his Day, and the need for salvation before that Day comes.
