Psalm 73
Verse of the Week: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26
1. Faith stumbles when you focus on people
“I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone.” Psalm 73:2
“I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness” Psalm 73:3
“They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.” Psalm 73:4 & 5
“These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for….Look at these wicked people—enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.” Psalm 73:7 & 12
“Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason?” Psalm 73:13

2. Faith is strengthened when you focus on God

• Be honest with yourself and with God.
  
• Know your God

1. God will be with you.

“how good it is to be near God!” Psalm 73:28
“I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. It was too painful for me—until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I finally understood” Psalm 73:16 & 17
“God has taken hold of my right hand.” Psalm 73:23

2. God will guide you

“God guides me with His counsel” Psalm 73:24

3. God will satisfy you

“Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.” Psalm 73:25

4. God will strengthen you

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart. He is mine forever.” Psalm 73:26

5. God will protect you

“I have made the Lord God my refuge and I will tell about the wonderful things You do.” Psalm 73:28

6. God will be good to you!

“Surely God is good to __________” Psalm 73:1
