Had his accusers discerned rightly, they would have correctly assessed Jesus as one with genuine love and service to the Father, and as one who displayed the characteristics of the Father—all for the purpose of honoring and glorifying the Father. Had they looked beneath the surface, they would have recognized the Son of God himself.
