Chief Arredondo has 27 years of law enforcement experience, having served 24 years with the Dallas Police Department where he obtained the rank of Major and led the Northeast Patrol Division. In 2020, he was appointed Chief of Police for the Victoria, TX Police Department. In January 2023, Chief Arredondo was selected and appointed Chief of Police for the Carrollton Police Department. He is a US Army veteran and received an Honorable Discharge after serving as part of a peacekeeping mission in Sanai, Egypt. Chief Arredondo obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Tarleton State University and holds a Master's in Public Affairs from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. He is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute of Policing, Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, and the Caruth Police Institute’s Leadership Series. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certification and is a licensed Police Instructor.
