The conversation began with the milestones of the guest, RJ Rahil spanning over 9 years with more than 500 shows and getting recognized as the best RJ by famous actor Malaika Arora. There were many questions that were put forward by the host and the participants on the live. On being asked about nervousness and process before a show, RJ Rahil mentioned that nervousness needs to be there in order to make sure the show is a success by diligently preparing before every show and not having any overconfidence which could pull down the show. When asked about the requirements of being an RJ, the guest mentioned that you need to be a keen observer with respect to what is happening around and current trends in order for shows to be relatable for the audience while also ensuring that you have a very expressive nature. The guest further mentioned that there isn't an age requirement or a specific background or even any special education for becoming a radio jockey. He urged the participants to never let go of any opportunity or avenue that you get in life and try to engage in it at least once. He mentioned that your personality matters the most and everyone needs to have their own originality. On being asked about the importance of reading, he mentioned that though he doesn't indulge in it but he advised that everyone needs to read more in order to improve pronunciation and vocabulary of the readers. He feels that the easiest way to get into radio is by taking up internships which are for about 2 months in order to experience and decide whether it is a fit for them. The internships also help to learn the technicalities by assisting other professional RJ. On being asked about how to attract an audience, he believes that the content is what matters the most. The content should help the audience learn or relate to feeling and should be touching to the listener. There is also a need to ensure that the content needs to cater to the demographics of the audience and current trends while the treatment of the content is totally based on the originality. One must need to create their own USP in order to make sure that you aren't replaceable. Your mind and ideas reflect in your speaking and should come naturally in order to make the content believable. He also mentions that radio is the best platform as it helps to connect with people from all walks of life and further says that it's easier to make someone laugh but making someone cry by touching them through the content and making them share their life experiences is something that is totally blissful and defines true success. He feels that one must only share something only when it is confirmed and true otherwise people would not believe in the future. He also recalls how he did not fill the form for radio but ended up doing it as we all need to give a shot to anything new that comes up and any new opportunities that knocks your door. He shared that he wasn't someone who was nervous as a child and did not have stage fear. He feels that preparation and practice are the most important things to conquer stage fright and knowing the content helps to be confident. One must not bother about external appearance or looks but must care about how one presents themselves through their body language and presence. He feels that criticism is a part of life and one mustn't back down from criticisms. One must build up their adaptability in order to succeed in different environments. He also feels that one must take up necessary and essential social taboo topics such as periods and all in order to break the stigma in the society. He further talks about his experience talking to different people from different backgrounds in his stint at a call center helped him improve the command he had in the language. He emphasises that one must not keep themselves free and always learn something new in order to get different life skills that would help sometime in the future.
