FivePlay Jazz Quintet is a CA Bay Area based group consisting of guitarist/composer Laura Klein, pianist/composer Tony Corman, woodwinds/composer Dave Tidball, drummer Alan Hall and bass player, Paul Smith. Their jazz music is often accompanied by a bevy of brass, chorus of clarinets or even a synod of strings! FivePlay formed the quartet with the idea of playing original music that nourishes both mind and heart, a bit of melodic modern jazz to be enjoyed by everyone. These accomplished musicians have been playing gigs in Northern CA for several years at numerous venues.
