Host and member of Empire, Jana Finkbiner, listens as Anna Farrant and Dan Norman reminisce on how they met and started their first promotions company and recount the devastation they felt in March 2020 when the world shut down and forced them to cancel their last event under their previous banner and the difficult decision to close down that company. They then dive into the transition to Empire, how it started, how the team came together and each member’s unique skill sets. They talk about the challenges and learning experiences of throwing two digital only shows during Covid and how quickly everyone had to move to secure dates for live events once the world opened up. Fresh off their first live show with fans since the shutdown, they reveal the crazy, untold story, of “The Email”, 48 hours before the first bell of RELOADED, informing them that their show was cancelled by the city permitting department and how they rallied together to make the event happen in the hours before the doors opened. The team talks about the future of Empire, their goals for the company, how they are trying to change the image of boxing, provide more opportunity for boxers to turn pro and create an unforgettable experience for the fans every time they put on an event.
