Episode 16: Insecurity in Relationships: How working through our own past will help us have healthy relationships
Manage episode 322167507 series 3245537
Do you struggle with feelings of insecurity in life? In what God has called you to do? In relationships? What does insecurity look like in relationships? Not setting boundaries, overthinking, negativity, thinking the worst, feeling awkward around people, like you don't fit in, worrying about what others think, feeling left out, thinking everyone thinks bad about you, being manipulative to get your way, letting others run over you, not speaking up, being a loud mouth, doubting what God is asking you to do, and doubting your gifts and abilities he has given you. That is just a small list. Most of the struggle in our adult relationships and insecurities we have, stem from past trauma, and hurts and how we were raised as a child and teenager. Don't continue to let baggage weigh you down. It is time to deal with it. When God allows trials in our life to test our faith a lot of the times these trials will come through conflict in relationships. Instead of being angry with the other person, allow God to use the trial to help you work through your own insecurities.
