Episode 89: PSD With a Twist: Burnout, Rejection, and Coping
Manage episode 326233417 series 2902743
Episode 89 of our book read/podcast covering major topics in various fields of psychology moves us into RESEARCH METHODS! New open-source book and a split semester, with Interviews and discussions on as many types of research types as we can fit in.
In this episode we do PSD with a Twist, where we discuss research on burnout, rejection, and impostor syndrome and how to cope with that in an environment that just can’t seem to discuss the problems on the systematic level. Thomas and Daniel also try and understand the recommendations and push for normalization and individual coping while trying to stay positive amidst some of our own constructive criticism concerning the “common academic experiences we don’t talk about”. It looks like this might be a part 1 of 2 as we might come back to these issues and solutions on a structural level.
