EP 39 Does Faith Really Help Healing? How Do I Increase My Faith Even When My Circumstances Do Not
So, I stood there under the lights on the platform in front of the entire congregation with a microphone, right at my mouth, telling people, well, they told me that I have a cyst or a mass in my right breast. And then I proceeded to tell the rest of the story...

What's up ladies. Welcome back to Wholly Made Life™.
I'm so glad you're here. I just want to talk to you today about faith and I had an experience recently that I wanted to talk about, and I just think it's important to just shed light on how it kind of happens in real life and how we walk that out. So about a month, a month and a half ago, or so I, gosh, I've lost track of time. It goes so quickly, but I had my annual mammogram and it came back abnormal and they said that they saw some sort of, you know, I, I don't know the language they wanted to use a mass assist, whatever, you know, I guess they can't really call it a assist until they actually see, is it actually assist or not? But a mass that was in my breasts that I needed further, further testing on an interestingly, a friend of mine in a group that I'm in, had the same exact diagnosis, if you will, like a few days prior to me getting the same thing.
So anyway, she went through some extra texts testing and actually she is a miracle. And what happened with her was before. So she had something going on in her breast. They found something in a rush. She went back for the mammogram, they could see it on the mammogram and from the walk, from the mammogram room to the room where she was going to do the ultrasound, they, it disappeared. They could not find that area that looked like a mass or assist or whatever it is you want to call it. Okay. it was a miracle literally from the walk, from the mammogram room to the ultrasound room, it was gone. So that was amazing. So she had that testimony a few weeks ago and I, you know, just amazing she's I love her, she's a miracle. And that was a miraculous testimony that I know God used to encourage other people.
So during that though, I was walking through my own. And you know, I think what's really interesting is that when I got that news that I had something going on, that I needed further testing it. And, you know, we know what they're all testing for. They're testing for the big C word to make sure that it's not cancer. And so we know that that's the loom and doom and, you know what they're testing for, but I just had an overwhelming peace and an overwhelming calm. And, you know, I told that group of girls that I was talking about just, just now about it, because it was so interesting that it was so similar. I just felt like kind of, we were a little bit under attack almost. And so we were all praying together. So the power of prayer is huge too, but we, you know, I D other than that, I just, you know, I prayed and thank God for, you know, the fact that I'm healed.
And there was no anxiety, no fear, no. I just wasn't worried about it. I just knew that it was fine and I, okay. I'll go through these extra tests and things. And I think I went for another moment, mammogram and ultrasound, and they verify it, they got more measurements and all that stuff, and they sent me away and then they rescheduled a new they wanted to get a biopsy of the area. So this is about a month, a month and a half in, I guess. So this week on Tuesday as it is what's today, it's Thursday, today. So on Tuesday at two days ago, I went and I got the biopsy and they said it would be about 72 hours. I mean, the most anxious I felt was actually the part where I knew they were going to put the needles in to numb me up because those things are huge.
And and wasn't bad. It was fine. I was actually pretty just praying through it. And but I still wasn't had an overwhelming peace, you know, that kind of piece that just surpasses all understanding. They talk about that kind of peace in the Bible. That's the kind of peace I had for the entire time. It really was not something that was on my mind. I just had a feeling, a peace wash over me, and it just stayed with me. And I just wasn't worried. I wasn't concerned. I just knew that it was going to come back benign. So yesterday, which was Thursday or Wednesday, so a day after the biopsy, I got a call and they said, we just want to let you know that it's benign. It's negative. So praise God. Hallelujah. Thank you God. And it's funny because I was telling God on the way, yes.
Let's see. Tuesday on the way to the appointment. I was like, Hey God, if you want it to disappear, by the time I get to that mammogram room or that ultrasound room, that'll be an awesome testimony at that. Sure will. But it also obviously will be an Austin testimony if I have to go through the through with the biopsy and it'd be negative in benign. So that's just how I talked to God. You know, I just talked to him like, he's one of my friends or he's my dad, or, you know, he's there, he's all those things for me. He's my counselor. He's a promise keeper, my, my way maker, my miracle worker, he's all those things. So you talked to him, you know, just in the season that you're in, how you, you know, your relationship you have with them. So anyway, so, but for this particular thing, I had to go through the biopsy and it came back negative.
Hallelujah. So yesterday at church I was serving in the back and I was what we call the back runner in the back. Just kind of watching the back of house to make sure everything was okay and everybody, you know, everything was going good. And pastor, I guess after worship called me up there and he kind of started talking, you know, it's one of those things you get on the platform in front of the whole congregation. And it's just it's kinda, it's not my favorite place to be, but anyway, I love my pastor. I've been there 11 years and it's just weird to be up in front of the platform when I'm used to kind of serve in behind the scenes. So anyway, he was talking about how, you know, he knew what was going on and just how I continued to serve.
I continued to show up. I, you wouldn't have known anything was going on. He talked about, you know, that I always have a smile on my face and I'm always doing what I need to be doing offering to help and all this kinds of things. And he talked about that in the aspect of just that faith, that level of faith that I have in that everything was going to be okay. So it's just, you know, it was just something I did not receive. I did not receive that. I was going to have any bad news. I just didn't receive that at all. So we all know who the ultimate physician is, who the, who has the ultimate say, we know that God has the last word. We know that it's a finished work and that, you know, he said by his stripes, we are healed and that's a past tense and future tense and present tense.
It's all of it. So it's art, it's everything it's finished. It's a finished work when he said it's done. It's done. So sometimes in our circumstances, though, we haven't experienced, we haven't caught up with that finished work. And so we have, that's when we have to walk it out and have that faith in the meantime. But what I thought was interesting is I had zero qualms about believing and just knowing a hundred percent that it was going to come back benign, come back negative. I had zero other thoughts, then it was going to be fine, a hundred percent faith, 120000% faith that it was all going to be fine. And it was going to be clear and it was going to be negative. Interestingly though after that, and I'm, I'm grateful because I know that God will use that testimony to encourage someone else's faith.
And that's what we're all here for. That's a lot, you know, people say, well, I don't know a purpose says, well, your purpose is to walk out your life and do what it is you're called to do in the way that you're called to do it so that you can encourage people to get closer to God. You can encourage other people's face. You can encourage people through loving them through proving that they have worth and that they are destined for so much more for what God's called them to be. You know, that that's what we're purpose for. So I know that, you know, that was purposed for a testimony, so that, that will encourage another person's faith, that you can still walk things out, knowing that what God said to be true is true. And you can walk that thing out, despite your circumstances, knowing that that's true.
But it was interesting because after, as I was home and I was looking in the mirror last night and I was washing my hands, washing my face, and I just heard kind of this, this nudging from the Holy spirit saying, you know what? You knew that that was going to be negative. You had so much faith. You had zero anxiety, zero fears, zero worries, zero concern about it. And you so much so that you were just praying and going on and thanking him for, you know, your health. And you knew that it was gonna be fine. You knew that it was going to be negative. So why can't you then? Well, let me say, you knew this, and this is the Holy spirit kind of nudging me in my spirit. How is it that you can be so faithful and so a hundred percent positive that I'm going to take care of you and that it's to come out negative in an area where you have no control, you have no option to put your hands on it.
You have no option to have any control over it. Right? Cause my health related to assist or a mass in my breasts, I have, there's nothing I can do at that point. There's not anything I can go try to do and make, do more of, or do something different or make better, or just put my hands on it. There's nothing I can do. So I am a hundred percent faithful that he's got this. So the Holy spirit was nudging me saying, you know, when it's a situation where you don't have an ability to put your hands on it, you're all in, you're all the way in. You're a hundred percent faithful. You've got it. There's no concern. There's no worry. So he asks me, you know, again, this is in my spirit, this is what I'm hearing. This is what I'm feeling. He's like, so why is it that on things that you do have the ability to put your hands on, that you don't always have the a hundred percent faith that you have on stuff that you wouldn't have.
Yeah. The option to touch. And if you know me and maybe it's like some of you guys out there who are doers, who are these type A's, these professionals successful women, and that just goo do and go, they make things happen with their hands, with their work. They're hard workers. You go out, you do it and you can always do more to make things happen. You've got great skill sets and you can use those skillsets to make things happen. You have some control and options to put your hands on those things. Right? So I was immediately convicted like, okay, God, cause I'm in this season. As you guys know, I am building up my business of my life, coaching business, you know, guys, I offer individual again. I will have some group coaching sessions coming up, but I offer this individual coach session. I'm doing some real estate investing.
And I'm starting up these businesses because I've left my corporate job. And he reminded me, you know, when it's something that you don't have a choice to put your hands on and try to control, you got a hundred percent faith, but grow when you have an ability to put your hands on something and try to make something happen. That's where your faith falters. That's where your faith tends to not be so faithful. So overwhelmingly a hundred percent all in. And he said, why is that? Why is it that you think that when there are places that you wouldn't be able to control anyway, that you can give me a hundred percent, but when you do have some control, you do have some of that space where you could put your hands on something that you tend to do, try to do it for me.
You are trying to do my work for me. God said, and I'm just waiting on you to throw your hands up and say, God do it all. And I trust you to do it. Even if I could. Now that's not to say, you're sitting on the couch, eating a bag of bond bonds, and you're not doing anything that he's calling you to do, but I tend to do go over, do too much. I tend to make things happen. That was the whole premise of, you know, I was in a place where I took such a huge faith step, where I left my corporate job based on faith, based on what I was hearing from him saying, do this, give this to me. And I will show you what's next. But in the seasons of coming up with what's next, sometimes when you're in the thick of it, when you're in that circumstance, you forget that he will do what he said he was going to do.
You're just not met up with that yet. Your circumstance just hasn't met up with the end result that he has in mind yet. And so we start to start to frantically start to work and do, and, and we don't always know what we're doing. And we don't always remember to give it back to God. If he called you to it, he will lead you through it. And so that's, I just wanted to share that because I think that's important. It's where in your life do you feel like you are a hundred percent all the way in giving God his credit and given God all that you have to say, yes, I trust you. I know without a shadow of a doubt that, you know, in my case, this was God, this is going to be negative. I know it versus other spaces in your life where you've gotten your hands on something that God is saying, let it go, give it to me, stop putting your hands on it.
When you take your hands off of it, I will be able to do the thing that I've been trying to do. I'll be able to reveal to you that God size dream, that God's size outcome that I've been trying to get you to. Where are you in your life? Falling short of the faith that you need to grow to let him take it, to let him grow you. That's my challenge to you today, because that was my challenge. Last night, as I stood washing my face, looking in the mirror and hearing that nudge of the Holy spirit to say you are getting to that point where you're putting your hands on some things that I've told you I'll take care of, and you need to trust me as much as you did with your health outcome. You need to trust me with your financial outcome.
You need to trust me that I, the women that, that are meant to be connected with you already there for you. Hello ladies, you guys listening to this podcast. You guys are my ladies. You guys are my people. He's already got the connections, worked out. He's already divinely set up all the interventions, all the connections that he needs to now in the past now and in the future it's already done. So there's a level of trust that I need to bump up in my financial business career life to give him all the way now. Yes, I took a huge face step and gave him my, my career in my, my salary and my title and all that stuff. But I have to continue to walk in that trust and walk in that faith. So I want to challenge you today. Ladies, those of you guys listening, you're here for a purpose.
You're here for a reason. And I believe that you're listening to this episode today because there's somewhere in your life that you are not quite giving it all up to him. You're not quite still enough, or you're not quite resting enough to allow him to guide you to do what's next. There's a difference between sitting on the couch and not doing anything, then being quiet and resting and listening for his guidance and then doing what he's guiding you to do. So I want to challenge you today. I'm challenging myself and I'm going to be doing it right along with you. Find that spot, find those places in your life that you could loosen up the reins on what you're holding onto so that God can show you. What's next. Okay, ladies. All right, ladies, if you are stuck in this, if you need help with this feel free to email me at Angie, Tony Rogers, gmail.com.
And we can walk this through this thing together. We will go through my big idea framework, where we will talk about your identity. We will identify the issue. We'll define it so that it is attainable. We will embrace where you've been, where you are, where you're going. We will activate by making an action plan that you can use every single day to get closer and closer to your goals. And we will then assess meaning that we will just figure out what's working. What's not working once we've activated and implemented, we will assess and see what do we need to tweak? Okay? That's the framework that we'll walk through in the coaching sessions. All right, ladies, love you guys so much. Thank you guys for listening and we will see
You on the next episode. Hey, before you go, I'd love for you to hop over to my podcast and give me a review. And you know, I love five stars. That's how we can share this thing with other women. Just like us. You're five stars in written review. Really helps me get the word out. You can also take a screenshot of this episode and tag me in your Insta and Facebook stories. And I'll give you a shout out right back, leaving a review and sharing this episode is the best way you can show me some luck. Thanks so much. And I'll see him the next episode. And remember your smile is like a boomerang, throw one at somebody and it'll come right back.

I'm so glad you're here.
