Good morning, Washington DC! Let's dive into today's chilly winter forecast that'll have you reaching for those extra layers.
Buckle up for a frosty day with snow potential! We're looking at temperatures hovering near 28 degrees Fahrenheit with a north wind around 6 to 9 miles per hour. Expect cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of snow, mainly rolling in after noon. So, keep those winter jackets and snow boots ready!
Tonight continues the winter theme with temperatures dipping to around 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect mostly cloudy conditions with a north wind of 5 to 8 miles per hour, and a continued 40 percent chance of snow - particularly before midnight and then some isolated snow showers after 5 in the morning.
Thursday brings more winter excitement! Snow showers are likely before 1 in the afternoon, with temperatures barely climbing to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be breezy, starting around 10 to 15 miles per hour and potentially gusting up to 37 miles per hour in the afternoon. We might see a light dusting of less than half an inch of snow.
The weekend looks more promising with sunny skies and gradually warming temperatures. Saturday will see a high near 45 degrees Fahrenheit, and Sunday warms up even more with a high near 49 degrees Fahrenheit.
By early next week, we're looking at partly sunny conditions with temperatures climbing to the mid 50s - a welcome break from this winter chill!
