Good morning, DC! I'm your friendly neighborhood meteorologist, and boy, do we have a chilly week ahead!
Today's forecast is a bit of a winter rollercoaster. We're looking at mostly cloudy skies that will gradually clear up, with temperatures struggling to reach a high near 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect some gusty northwest winds blowing at 10 to 14 miles per hour, with occasional gusts up to 26 miles per hour. So, bundle up, DC!
Tonight, things get even cooler. We'll see increasing clouds and temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will continue to whisper at 7 to 10 miles per hour.
Wednesday brings a potential snow surprise after 1 pm. Cloudy skies and a high near 31 degrees Fahrenheit mean you might want to keep that winter coat handy. There's a 30 percent chance of precipitation, so keep an eye on those clouds!
Thursday continues our winter theme with a chance of snow showers, mainly before 1 pm. Expect mostly cloudy conditions and a high near 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will kick up to 8 to 17 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
