Good morning, Washington! This is your weather update for today, and boy, do we have a wild ride ahead.
We're kicking things off with a High Wind Watch and a Hazardous Weather Outlook, so buckle up, folks! Today starts with a slight chance of sleet before noon, transitioning to rain. Expect patchy fog after 4 pm, with temperatures hovering near 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be gentle, coming from the south at 3 to 8 miles per hour.
Tonight, get ready for a wet one! Rain before 1 am, followed by areas of drizzle, and then more rain after 4 am. Temperatures will stick around 38 degrees Fahrenheit with calm winds.
Sunday is where things get interesting. We're looking at rain and possibly thunderstorms before 1 pm, with showers likely between 1 and 4 pm. Temperatures will spike to a surprising 62 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be breezy, potentially gusting up to 49 miles per hour - so maybe secure those lawn chairs!
Sunday night cools down with a chance of showers before 7 pm, and temperatures dropping to around 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
Washington's Birthday looks sunny but chilly, with a high near 39 degrees Fahrenheit and west winds around 18 to 20 miles per hour.
