In Luke 22:7-20, Jesus observes the Passover meal with His disciples. This is sometimes referred to as the Last Supper, but in reality, it is the First Supper. Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper. Communion involves the bread of thanksgiving and the cup of the New Covenant in blood.
