Businesses of different sizes and industries saw an increase in both transaction volumes and values, highlighting a continued shift towards digital and cashless payments. Digital transaction volumes recorded double-digit increase of 15% year-on-year (YoY), digital transaction value rose by 11% while Standard Bank’s transacting merchant base saw an increase of 8% YoY in December 2024.
