If the early church is an example to us at all, it has to be seen that they were an active group of people. Not just for the sake of activity, but being intentional about doing what Christ has commanded. Christ is the Cornerstone, and His sacrificial love has set the tone for the Church. This kind of sacrifical love in Acts 2 is foundational for what we’ll see in Acts 3-28 because it was the launching pad for Christian mission. The lifestyle and example of these newly converted Christians showed that Jesus is alive! The only way the Church grows is if the Lord does the adding.
