God Keeps His Promises

Do you ever feel like nothing is certain and secure anymore? We often feel let down by things we hoped for or people we trust. Previously we looked at sin entering the world through Adam and Eve's choice to disobey God. This act of disobedience cut humanity off from the certainties of God's blessings. But God never gives up! He had a plan and we begin to see the first major step in that plan in Genesis chapters 12 and 15 where God reaches out to a man named Abram (later called Abraham). God promises Abram that God will bless Abram and will bless the entire world through Abram. This promise is an important thread that ties together the rest of the Old Testament and finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. In this sermon, called "God Keeps His Promises", we look at God's important promise to Abraham, as we continue our sermon series called "Focal Point" which looks at an overview of the entire Bible.
