This episode of NFIB California focuses on the hotly debated Single Payer Healthcare bill AB1400. Assembly Member Jordan Cunningham gives us his take on this bill that would eliminate Medicare for all Californians, eliminate private pay insurance and force all medical process to go thru what will be called Cal Care. This bill increases payroll taxes, excise tax, tax on businesses and more. At over $162 billion to fund the program, it's projected to be insolvent in its' very first year of operation. With the demonstrated inefficiencies of other state run programs like EDD and DMV, is there any reason to believe this program could be managed not only effectively but efficiently?
