Contrary to popular belief Puerto Rican and Jamaican didn’t invented Hip Hop. Puerto Rican used to called Hip Hop ( Jungle music or Moreno music. Most Puerto Rican didn’t get involve in Hip Hop until late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Yes they were there in the early stage of Hip Hop. However they were not the pioneer or inventor of Hip Hop. Besides Kool Herk Jamaican didn’t get involve in Hip Hop until mid 80’s and early 90’s. I remembered in the early 90’s there were two Jamaican artist who were big in Hip Hop ( Super Cat/ Shaba Ranks )🇯🇲. Both Jamaican and Puerto Rican are influenced by Black American culture not the other way around. Hip Hop is black American art form. It’s not Jamaican or Puerto Rican.
