Is weightlifting safe for pregnant women? Is it safe for pregnant women to lift more than 20 lbs? Dr. Eric Broadworth and Dr. Hayley VanBeek dive into this topic regarding women's health and fitness and dispell many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding pregnancy and exercise. Dr. Hayley VanBeek has experience treating patients with pelvic floor conditions including bladder, bowel, sexual and pelvic pain concerns, including pregnancy and postpartum populations, and has completed advanced post-doctoral training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is particularly passionate about pregnancy and postpartum rehab and fitness. Hayley additionally has experience in outpatient orthopedics treating patients across the lifespan with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and is Certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN) Level 2 through Evidence in Motion. She enjoys working with people who desire to overcome pelvic floor dysfunction as well as orthopedic and sports injuries in order to achieve their goals and return to an active lifestyle.
